About Katie Bale

With over 14 years of experience in the field of early childhood education and teaching, I am currently the Education Programme Coordinator at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI), where I oversee the delivery of high-quality educational programmes for medical professionals. I leverage my skills in emotional intelligence, Microsoft Excel, and intrapersonal communication to ensure that the programmes are aligned with the RCPI's mission, vision, and values, and that they meet the diverse needs and expectations of the learners and stakeholders. I also work closely with the RCPI's academic and administrative staff, as well as external partners and experts, to facilitate collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. In my previous roles as a childcare manager and an afterschool quality assurance coordinator at Kids Inc, I gained valuable experience in managing, leading, and supporting teams of educators and caregivers, as well as in designing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum and activities for children and families. I am passionate about enhancing the quality and impact of education in all settings and stages of life, and I am committed to advancing my professional development and learning. I hold a bachelor's degree and multiple certifications in early childhood education and teaching, as well as a level 6 qualification in special needs assistance. I am excited to bring my diverse perspectives and experiences to the RCPI and contribute to its vision of excellence in medical education.
