She handles all aspects of the multi-jurisdictional sale, purchase, finance, new build and registration of business aviation assets. She also assists clients in implementing ownership structures and dealing with VAT issues arising in respect of these assets, alongside our preferred tax partners. Katie also has considerable experience in the sale and purchase of superyachts and small commercial vessels and has handled the registration of well over marine and aviation assets over her legal career, which spans over 10 years. Katie’s clients value her practical and commercial approach to deals. They note, in particular, Katie’s down-to-earth approach, her adaptability and her skill at guiding clients through transactions, whether they are industry experts or first time buyers. Katie’s enthusiasm for the business aviation industry is undeniable and irresistible. She is a regular speaker at aviation conferences and contributes articles to industry publications. She also has a growing online presence and is a keen champion of women and girls in the industry. When Katie is not working (which is most of the time), there's a strong possibility she's jet spotting or posting photos of @dogs_on_jets on Instagram. Katie also spent a period on secondment to the Royal Yachting Association in 2012 to provide first aid legal advice to members of the Association.
