About Katie Botham

Welcome to my world! I'm an L&D professional with a passion for growing and developing high performers with the organizations I'm a part of. I started off my career journey in the administrative field, working as an Administrative Assistant for multiple businesses. While I loved being an asset to these businesses in this way, I found myself wanting more! I was driven to learn and grow, and so began my Career at Vendasta. Starting off as a Marketing Coordinator, I found my footing in online reputation management, marketing strategy, and customer service. I was able to work directly with local businesses to help them achieve their own goals for growth while I furthered my own personal growth goals. As I developed in this role, I was able to train and coach my fellow team members, develop new processes, and manage projects large and small. All of this sent me flying into the world of Marketing Strategy and finding a passion for Web Design. I was able to take my skills in communications and apply them in a Website Specialist role. Helping local businesses navigate their journey through the web design and development process was really eye-opening for me and allowed me to learn a lot about WordPress and the technical aspects of design. From there, I moved into a management role as the Communications Manager for our Technical Teams within Marketing Services. This was a brand new role and a brand new team. I was able to put processes, training, and quality checks in place to equip our team members to provide the best service possible to our Partners. It was a huge shift in my career, but a worthwhile one as I learned the importance of people management, and equipping teams for success. I was also able to take my passion for learning to the next level in a new role for Marketing Services - Training and Development Manager. I worked closely with internal training teams, learned the technical aspects of building out training programs, as well as built out strategies for growing, retaining, and training our teams. I've now moved on from Vendasta, and have pursued a career in learning at Federated Co-operatives Limited. I can't wait to see where this new role takes me.
