If there was one thing I knew I wanted to do in life it was make a difference. Throughout my career, I have developed a diverse set of skills and qualifications that will not only help support this goal, they will make me a valuable member of any team. The first thing you need to know is that organizing is my superpower. I’ve organized a corporate sponsored event for 900 people (securing the funds, finding and booking a venue, designing and contracting out flyers, and recruiting employee volunteers), developed and implemented an efficient applicant progression tracker, managed social media campaigns, and kept track of multiple calendars and tasks; if it mattered, I tracked it. I will tackle any assignment from conception to final “thank-yous.” My organizational skills have allowed me to work successfully from home in several positions, with exceptional performance. If you’re looking for a self-starting organizer, I’m your person. Along with being naturally organized, I am adaptable and skillful in problem-solving. For instance, when the world faced uncertain times I needed to develop creative ways to establish partnerships and events to ensure a successful Census count. With the use of virtual meetings, social media, and emails, I was able to gain over 200 partners, reach hard-to-count populations, and address any questions or concerns. The results were happier partners and stronger ties to the community. And speaking of the community, I am an avid volunteer and have been able to serve my community in many ways. Whether through planning and development, improving a process, or helping their social media engagement, it was always a fulfilling role. I appreciate the power of communication and the potential to reach thousands through a robust outreach program.
