About Katie Gable

I have dedicated my career to supporting the mental health and wellness of Indigenous communities across Northern British Columbia for more than 8 years. As a Registered Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work, I bring both clinical expertise and heartfelt commitment to my role as a mental health professional in the Northern Region. Throughout my career, I have provided counselling and wellness services across the lifespan—working with children, youth, adults, and families—as well as supported communities in developing holistic, culturally grounded approaches to healing. In my current role with FNHA as a Mental Health and Wellness Liaison for the Northern Region, I am focused on collaborating with communities, and service providers to enhance mental health systems, promote wellness initiatives, and strengthen local capacity. I am guided by a deep commitment to relationship-building and culturally safe practice, and I am passionate about ensuring that individuals and communities in the North have accessible, sustainable, and meaningful pathways to wellness.
