About Katie Harrell

I am the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Industry and Portfolio Marketing at Autodesk. In 2019, I proudly joined the Business Strategy and Marketing organization Autodesk as an Administrative Assistant, supporting two busy senior executives on the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) team. My primary responsibilities included managing complex calendars, travel, arranging employee communications (such as our organization's All Hands), as well as taking notes in team meetings and tracking action items. I worked closely with our team's program managers to make sure that critical meetings are on the calendar well in advance. I was involved with the Design for Racial Justice group, which examines how we can address diversity and inclusion at Autodesk, as well as tackle issues of racial inequality externally. My love for administration came from my prior work with Bay Area arts non-profits, including Thingamajigs/CAMP 510, Gamelan Sekar Jaya, and the Crucible. I was able to observe the operations of a well-run, non-profit development department. I gained some insight into the overall operations of the group by helping out in other departments, such as accounting and marketing.
