About Katie Hilleary

I have 4 years of teaching experience in 4th, 5th and 6th grades. My strengths as a teacher include creating engaging, hands-on lessons and utilizing cooperative learning extensively in my classroom. Teaching and modeling having a growth mindset, positive communication and making an impact are my biggest goals and successes with my students. I am currently on the Child Study Team, a Student Council advisor and have planned the 5th Grade Outdoor Education-a 3 day field trip to a camp for 80+ 5th graders. I am data driven, goal driven and efficient. I work hard to complete projects, while being organized. I am very creative, and love problem solving, working with people and planning events. Communication is one of my strongest assets. I am always working to improve myself and constantly striving for success, while being able to self adjust and see the bigger picture of the task at hand. Being on a team that would allow for advancement and personal, as well as professional, growth, while helping the organization meet and exceed their aspirations and expectations is the ideal situation for me. Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors in the sunshine, yoga and crafting. I dream of traveling the world and experiencing different cultures and historical sites.
