About Katie Holtsoi

I am a recent MPA graduate from Arizona State University with interests in environmental, public health, and tribal policy issues. I have worked previously in the Navajo Nation government as an intern and worked closely with executive staff in the President's office as well as constituents across all areas of the Navajo Nation. In this intern position, I developed public outreach and communication skills and increased my knowledge of tribal to non-tribal government relations. And my previous work experience with the Town of Gilbert centered around water conservation and analyzing water use rates. I also performed water policy, tribal compact, and Colorado River water rights research to create conservation plans. Ultimately, my goal is to work for a tribal or local government to help improve service delivery to tribal members/citizens and increase the quality of life within these communities.
