About Katie Larson

My approach to researching and designing purposeful products is to understand the user’s behavior, uncover the opportunities, project the path forward by architecting & designing the experience while collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team. I live for the exciting moment when insights and the unknown turn into features and a useful product. My favorite products to date have been creating a citizen scientist app that encourages the collection of plant phenology data in order to help understand the widespread effects of climate change. And designing a quality improvement application to help healthcare organizations lower the blood pressure of their hypertension patients. Design must positively improve the lives of people — which is my reason to continue solving problems, creatively.
