About Katie Lones
I grew up in Crooksville, Ohio and graduated high school in 2008. I went on to receive my Bachelor's degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Physical and Health Education in 2012. This is currently my 7th year of teaching. The subjects that I have taught are Health, Physical Education, and Family & Consumer Science. I am currently the Family and Consumer Science teacher, where my goal is to make sure that my students leave knowing how to demonstrate basic life skills. I have coached volleyball for the past 5 years, at both the junior high and high school level. I have also taught Health and P.E. for summer school and have worked for the after school program. I have recently earned my Master's degree in Health and Wellness Education from the American College of Education. I have learned a lot about the education field in the past 7 years, and my passion is to work with kids so that I can hopefully make a difference in their lives.
