About Katie Mann

I am currently an undergraduate student majoring in Engineering/Applied Physics at Colorado School of Mines. One of my favorite aspects of my major is having the opportunity to learn about the engineering applications of various physics concepts and applying my knowledge of physics to solve engineering problems. I am also pursuing minors in Chemistry and Biomedical Engineering and I love to explore interdisciplinary problem solving that draws from the intersections between the fields of biology, chemistry, and physics. Beyond my undergraduate studies, I look forward to gaining more hands-on industry and research experiences that will allow me to apply and expand my knowledge in biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering to solve complex problems. I plan to pursue graduate education to increase my technical skillset and expertise, with the ultimate professional goal of becoming involved in research and development as an engineer.
