About Katie Mathiesen

I have 16 years of experience in the creative sector. I owned a Florist shop in my early 20's, which kick-started my passion for installation work. After selling my shop, I went into the Architecture and Interior Design world working in Marketing, Communications and Events, igniting my enthusiasm for events, branding and presentation. Shortly after that, I worked as an Operations Director in the community events industry, working on some of Perth's well-known events. Three years later, DUO events Creative Studio was born, where I get to combine my love for floristry, installations, events, branding and logistics. DUO events is a full-service planning, design, floral and production studio; we create and execute one-off event designs for Weddings & Corporate clients, as well as, Instagrammable moments, Art & Retail installations and visual merchandising. As Creative Directors, we are the artist, designer, stylist, florist and planner; we develop the creative content and direct the creative process. We are distinctive, flexible, considerate and meticulous, and these principles drive the quality of our work. Every detail is bespoke, and every element considered suiting your vision. Our events and installations are an exceptional experience for our clients and their guests.
