About Katie McLaughlin

An experienced professional with 15+ years experience in HR projects and transformations, Katie is skilled in leading teams and programmes to deliver: HR Transformation; Management Information Systems; Process Design, Business Analysis; Employee Experience, Shared Services, Data Analysis; and Information Graphics. She has a special interest in Process Improvement and Simplification, working within agile, waterfall and six sigma methodologies. She has worked in the mining, aviation, and energy industries. She has an honours degree from the University of Strathclyde, a love of travel, and a passion for results- I had planned to be a translator, but the solitary aspect made me question the choice. Instead, I have been lucky to enjoy a set of interesting and varied roles. I have managed complex projects; analysed data; built relationships and teams. I realised recently that I didn't stop translating - I still do it every day. I assimilate and distill information, practice active listening, and translate complex requirements into plans, activities, and priorities. I flex my style to suit the occasion and I get things done. I look for insights and signals, and understanding the 'so what'. I love to see change happen, and I'm thrilled to be part of it. I am comfortable with ambiguity and the challenges it can bring. I am honest, passionate and dedicated.
