About Katie Mitchell

Katie is the Co-Founder and CXO of swyvl, an extended reality (XR) educational platform that empowers individuals to understand and embrace neurodiversity through immersive experiences, fostering a world where differences are celebrated and inclusivity is the norm. swyvl addresses the lack of understanding and integration of neurodivergent individuals by offering an immersive scenarios and seminars that educate and foster inclusivity in schools, workplaces, and beyond. We believe in a world where differences are celebrated and inclusivity is the norm. By empowering individuals to understand and embrace neurodiversity through immersive experiences and seminars, we aim to foster lasting inclusivity in schools, workplaces, and beyond, ensuring that neurodivergent people can contribute their strengths and reach their full potential in supportive environments. Katie has also had the privilege of working on Oscar-nominated films such as James Bond: No Time to Die and Nimona, along with several other feature animation projects. As well, she has worked on impactful VR conservation projects such as Drop in the Ocean and Critical Distance, focused on raising awareness of environmental issues like plastic pollution in our oceans and sound pollution, with these experiences being showcased at the Tribeca Film Festival. Being deeply passionate about using immersive storytelling to drive meaningful change in both education and conservation Katie strives to be motivated and committed to pushing boundaries, merging technology with empathy to create lasting impact in every project she takes on.
