About Katie Riesner

A skilled and passionate project professional with a background in project management, event coordination, community building, and artistic development, including delivering skills development training programmes for the University of Exeter through funded (EU and UK Government) projects.Having completed a degree in BA(Hons) Photography, I use my workflow, marketing, and communication skills as a passionate Business Development & project professional. On the £3.5 million The Future is Green project (Jan 2024 - March 2026) and £1.1 million Arca project (Apr 2022 - December 2023), I co-ordinated the development and delivery of University of Exeter CPD training programmes. This included liaising with academics on their content, leading the marketing of courses, website management & communications with stakeholders, and the payment of suppliers. This also involved working closely with the Project Manager to creatively devise the project plans and delivery schedule, ensuring risks were identified and managed, and the project was delivered to budget, meeting (or exceeding) output targets. This past year, alongside project delivery, I have been focusing on my professional development, attending the Projects for a Better Future conference with the APM; then requesting and successfully completing a project management qualification in Project Fundamentals with the APM in December 2025.
