Southeast AlabamaWorks has a primary goal of serving business and industry in a 10-county southeastern region by engaging companies to identify workforce challenges, then working with partners like the Alabama Community College System, K-12 Education, and Alabama Career Centers to find solutions through training and opportunities to create a stronger workforce. I specifically work with businesses and industries to develop "Industry Clusters" that come together to have candid conversations about those workforce challenges in an attempt to identify commonalities and develop strategic resolutions. We have found that amazing things can happen when people come together and start having conversations. The B&I Relations Manager is responsible for the implementation, management, and facilitation for cluster work with a specific focus on high-demand industry sectors. This position elevates B&I engagement in workforce development by using industry collaboration to create workforce training, elevating the quality of Alabama's workforce in the 10-county territory of Region 6, and helping companies to fill jobs with more qualified applicants
