About Katie Townsend

I am a second year management student with a passion for marketing, looking for new opportunities within the industry to deepen my understanding of the subject. I would love the chance to try different types of marketing whether that be in house or agency work, I am still finding what will suit me. I have a real interest in the FMCGs industry as I find this style of branding to be ever changing and very exciting so I hope to gain some experience in this industry soon. Aside from my degree I love exploring my creativity and kind-nature through my holiday job, working with children aged 4-15 to ensure they have a fun and fulfilling break from school. Planning activities and leading group sessions has helped me grow in confidence and my ability to speak to large numbers of people. As Deputy Head Girl during my Sixth Form years I found the fundamental skills of management. Being responsible for an event for over 200 pupils and staff, negotiating with numerous venues and coordinating vendors, while also utilising the team of senior prefects to arrange ticket sales and advertising, all helped to cement my organisational and communication skills.
