About Katie Wang

I’m a public affairs specialist with experience in community and civic engagement, program management, and communications for research institutions and nonprofits focused on equity, justice, and peace building. I’m driven by a deep desire to facilitate understanding and cooperation between people as I lead with listening and seek to identify and leverage the unique strengths and expertise of colleagues and partners. In my current role, I focus on equipping communities of faith in the Greater Houston region to mobilize their members and adjacent communities to vote and engage in civic processes. In addition, I aim to expand faith communities' issue knowledge and advocacy skills through policy-focused programming.
