About Katie Wolf

In December of 2015 I obtained my Bachelor of Science degrees in Elementary and Special Education with minors in Emotional Behavioral Disturbances and Learning Disabilities. My experience has been working with students in kindergarten through sixth grade, but a majority of my career has been spent supporting the students and staff in kindergarten, first, and second grades. My favorite part of working with younger students is supporting students in their love for learning. Each academic area is a new experience, and their young minds are very unpredictable! Outside of the classroom I have held various titles in the community such as the Parent Teacher Organization Vice President, Crazy 8’s Math Club Co-teacher, Summer School Teacher, STEM Camp Educator, Kids Fun Fest volunteer, and I also volunteer as a greeter at my church. I spent one summer teaching students at the National Institute of Special Education for the Visually Impaired in Namibia and time learning the education system in London as well. Through my years as an educator so far, I have participate in a digital coaching cycle where I worked with a digital learning coach to create resources for students to use in order to gain independence in the classroom. Together we utilized applications, created digital assessments, and helped students become more independent through the use of technology. I have also participated in a formal literacy coaching cycle where we dug into the district resources to create Universally Designed assessments and lessons to support all learners. In March of 2018 I was awarded the Herb Kohl Fellow. In 2019 I obtained a Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Literacy. Through this education, I also gained my Literacy 316 License.
