About Katlyn Maynard

I have always had a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn. I work hard for what I want to achieve in the classroom, in my personal life, and in the workplace. I am always looking for ways to improve myself each day and in all aspects of my life. Through my previous work experience at a small-town bar and grill, I have developed many valuable skills I use in both the workplace and my daily life, which include customer service, collaboration, and multitasking. I am very dedicated to what I do in the workplace by providing customers with assistance, making sure all of my tasks are completed, and asking if there is anything further I can do to help the business succeed. As of May 2021, I graduated at North Dakota State College of Science, earning an Associate of Applied Science in Business Management with an emphasis in Administration and Finance. My time at NDSCS has granted me with endless opportunities to further enhance my skills. I focused my attention at excelling in my classes and obtained a 3.9 GPA. At my previous employment in the NDSCS Human Resources Department, I have gained computer filing skills as well as improved upon customer service, from answering phones to working with individuals who come through the door. I am able to learn quickly and efficiently, as well as being able to maintain a positive attitude in both the classroom and work environment. No matter the challenge, I face it head on and perform at my best to see that I complete every task at hand. After graduating NDSCS, I transferred to Mayville State University to continue my education and am currently working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. This semester I have additionally taken up a job at Wishard Insurance, assisting in secretary work, sitting in during insurance meetings with customers, and learning what it is like working in the insurance industry.
