Background
About Katrina Cavagna
Graduating with my Bachelors, I was offered my first long-term substitute position immediately after in the district I completed one of my student teaching placements. I had an excellent opportunity to travel to Georgia to teach for a short while, opening my eyes to differences in education between regions. I then returned to New York to work at several tutoring and substitute teaching positions before accepting the 7, 8 & 12 English Teacher position at Avoca Central School in 2015. I have coached modified softball, as well as taken a position as a class advisor at my district. I consistently work to take students on field trips to widen their experiences, something that students from a small town do not often have the opportunity to do. I also run an active educator blog that focuses in nurturing the skills of the students themselves, as well as delivering content.
