About Katrina Daoud

I am a Master of Public Health educated higher education professional working in health education and student well-being, specifically around content areas of sexual violence and social justice. I have extensive practitioner, development, and management experience in the United States and United Kingdom.I currently manage a team of 5 colleagues at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) tasked with doing health promotion and sexual violence prevention work for approximately students.Prior to this role, I was in a dedicated sexual violence role at NTU, overseeing all sexual violence prevention efforts, leading sexual violence training for staff and students, and as a Sexual Violence Liaison Officer, providing support to student survivors. I have directly contributed to NTU becoming a sector-leader for its sexual violence efforts, including being one of the first universities in the country to administer a campus climate survey and the first in the country to require face-to-face consent training to all incoming undergraduate students. NTU's sexual violence work has been nationally and locally recognised, including winning the THE Award for Outstanding Student Support in 2020 and the NTU Team Excellence Award in 2022.I sit as an active member of the Nottingham Consent Coalition, working to raise awareness of consent, challenge sexual violence myths, and encourage survivors to support through the creation of innovative and effective resources and campaigns. I am passionate about preventing and responding to sexual violence for all genders and identities and ensuring that higher education is inclusive, welcoming, and safe for all students.
