About Katrina Ellis

Graduate of the Trulaske College of Business at the University of Missouri with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration - Management with a Minor in Public Relations. I began my professional career in high school as a teller for a community bank and from there decided to pursue a degree in Business. During college, I worked at a credit union as a teller in Columbia Mo. This opportunity showed me the side of nonprofit financial institutions. Later in college, I was a Marketplace Intern for FCS Financial. This experience interest me as I am from a small farming town and FCS Financial has a focus on the AG Industry. After graduating college, I came back home to the community bank where it all began. I was the Assistant Compliance Officer and loan processor for the bank. This exposed myself to the regulatory side of financial institutions. From then I was the account specialist for a company in Clayton MO responsible for all inhouse accounting functions. My current position is the Internal Auditor at the Bank of Old Monroe. The varying in responsibilities has taught me the importance of multitasking and organization. Time management skills are essential in staying on task day to day. I enjoy problem solving and discovering new and improved ways to complete a job. I am also a board member of the Lincoln Resource Board. The fund is focused on developing and implementing a comprehensive system of care for Lincoln County children and families in need. I enjoy seeing the impact of this fund in my own community.
