About Katrina Lalic

I am an Industrial and Environmental Physics graduate of Technological University Dublin. I received a final result of 2:1. Studying at TUDublin offered me great opportunities to work inside a laboratory working on various experiments which helped me gain hands on experience. Through this, I have gained many skills such as technical and accurate report writing, health and safety and the ability to assess and approach problems from a logical perspective. As part of my degree, I had the chance to complete an 8-month-long internship at IMEC in Belgium as a research and development intern where I studied the effects of purification and characterisation of EUV pellicles. Throughout my internship, I learned various data analysis techniques, such as RBS, EUVT, FTIR, XPS and Raman spectroscopy. I also purified nanomaterials using tools like the Nabertherm oven and UV ozone cleaner. My work placement helped me improve my analytical and technical skills. I am also excellent in working with software such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and TinkerCAD. I find myself wanting to continuously grow my experience by improving an existing skill or learning a new skill. During my free time, I enjoy playing strategy-based games, reading books and baking.
