About Katrina Milbocker

I am an innovative postdoctoral researcher in the Biomedical Engineering department at the University of Delaware with 8+ years of experience working in molecular neuroscience (Scientific Advisor: Dr. Curtis Johnson). I received my Masters and Doctorate in Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Delaware under the co-mentorship of Drs. Anna Klintsova and Tania Roth. I have a strong track record in neuroplasticity research and developing novel interventions for neurodevelopmental disorders. My current research focuses on leveraging cutting-edge preclinical neuroimaging techniques to uncover novel therapeutic targets for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, aging, and acute neuroinflammation. Special research focus on the healthy and diseased female brain. Ongoing projects aim to uncover distinct changes to the mechanical properties of the female brain across the menstrual cycle and in various models of neurodegeneration.
