About Katrina Rivera

As Clinical Coordinator, I am responsible for overseeing and managing the clinical education component of a radiography program, ensuring students receive adequate clinical experience. Acting as a liaison between the College and clinical sites, coordinating rotations, and providing support and supervision to students in the clinical setting, ensuring compliance for training requirements, and developing connections with multiple imaging modality departments to provide job shadowing opportunities for students. In addition to my responsibilities as Clinical Coordinator, I am a full-time instructor for the Radiologic Technology program at Pima Community College; providing instruction on radiation biology, fluoroscopy, skull imaging, introductory pharmacology, infection control, and medical terminology. I have 15+ years experience in direct patient care as a Radiologic Technologist within both hospital and urgent care environments. My goal is to prepare students for a life-long career in healthcare and provide them with the skills to deliver high-quality care to patients of varying acuity, pathology, and diverse backgrounds.
