About Katy Cachiotis

As an educator, I am skilled at curriculum creation and development, project management, possess excellent editorial skills, and have experience handling confidential information. I am credentialed to teach all subjects K-8 as well as English Language Arts, and have a love of science and inspiring my students to explore. I created and taught an elective class through our Enhancement Program, called "Garden to Table" where I was able to synthesize many of my professional skills to teach students how to grow, harvest and then prepare their food. Through my many years of working in the food and beverage industry as a server, hostess and catering manager, I have honed my people skills and am very comfortable working with the public, both on the phone and in person. I am highly skilled in student engagement and curriculum creation and implementation. I have a B.A. in English from California State University, East Bay, as well as a teaching credential.
