About Katy Mann

Katy Mann is a California transplant who found her heart—and her home—in Indianapolis, Indiana. With a background in travel and a passport full of stamps, Katy brings a fresh perspective to Midwestern family life. Katy is known for her authentic voice, practical tips, and a deep love for all things local. Whether she’s chasing waterfalls, discovering a new local doughnut shop, or leading her crew on a backyard adventure, Katy’s mission remains the same: connecting families with unforgettable experiences. When she’s not tracking down the next kid-friendly hot spot, you’ll find her cheering on youth sports, reading, or embarking on spontaneous road trips across the country. Katy is on a quest to see the world and show her children things they won't see on Dora the Explorer. With a heart for community and a knack for storytelling, local author and family fun expert Katy Mann helps families discover the magic of everyday moments in Indianapolis and beyond. As the founder of Indy with Kids, Katy has spent more than a decade uncovering all the family-friendly treasures the city has to offer. With Katy as your guide, each family adventure will end with smiles, laughter, and your kids asking, “Where are we going next?” An accidental topic of conversation among personal finance columnists from the Wall Street Journal to the Independent, from Yahoo! Finance to Fox News, Katy has been interviewed, quoted, and misquoted, but her story remains the same. Specialties: storytelling, sales, travel, marketing
