About Kaushik Kumar Yadav

Coming from an engineering background, I was always intrigued to learn more about the art of business growth, and this is why I am pursuing my MBA at Kogod School of Business, American University with the intent to understand how can data be leveraged to create the next big thing. Prior to business school, I worked as the Managing Member of my family-run catering service business, primarily dealing in sweetmeats. Here, I was responsible for 1 to N growth by identifying new revenue channels, scaling the existing business model by analyzing data, reducing our business cost during Covid-19, and streamlining operations and sales processes. Working for 3.5 years in two EdTech start-ups which were upGrad and Coding Ninjas, both being the front-runners in their space, gave me the opportunity to work on building and launching new programs/categories and building university partnerships. By the end of this, I had created a 0 to 1 product, which helped some of the biggest names in the insurance industry cut their hiring and training costs significantly. I enjoy solving business problems by analyzing data and using a cross-functional approach. Outside of work I like spending my time running, writing poems, and playing football!
