About Kavya Chandra

Hi! I’m Kavya Chandra, the founder of A Green Venture — a nature-based initiative committed to reconnecting people with the outdoors through curated walks, experiential education, and green living practices. Since 2018, I’ve led over 500+ nature walks and experiences, reaching more than individuals across age groups — from school children and educators to corporate teams, families, and senior citizens. My work blends urban ecology, plant storytelling, and environmental education into engaging sessions that inspire curiosity, calm, and a deeper commitment to climate-conscious living. As a Government of India-certified Nature Guide, I design and facilitate research-backed, tailor-made nature experiences across Bangalore — from tree trails in Cubbon Park to sensory school explorations, heritage walks, farm visits, and outdoor birthday walks. I also conduct workshops on plant-based learning and green practices, sharing my expertise as a grower and herbal enthusiast. My work has been featured in leading publications including The Hindu, Deccan Herald, Indian Express, and The Better India, highlighting A Green Venture as one of Bangalore’s meaningful green initiatives. At my core, I believe nature should be everyone’s first classroom and everyday lifestyle — accessible, joyful, and rooted in local ecology.
