About Kay Cusack

With 17 years experience as a respiratory therapist, a Bachelor of Science in CardioPulmonary Science, Wellstar Health System has been my home for the past 12 years. My experience extends from large level 2 trauma centers to small community hospitals. A large part of my success is forging relationships with patients and working as a team with physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers for the best possible patient outcomes. Working in the emergency room has honed my ability to assess a critical situation and take decisive immediate action. My ability to be flexible and adaptable while still maintaining attention to detail and successful time management skills has helped me to be successful in this career. In addition to healthcare, I have 12 years of experience in administration, executive assistant, data-entry and customer service. These work experiences included: purchase order processing and fulfillment for a software distributor, and statistician, administrative support in the finance department for Martin Marietta, now Lockheed Martin. I served in the U.S. Navy Reserves for 8 years, attached to a P-3 squadron and ended my enlisted as YN2 (E5). Leveraging my previous work experiences and my present skill set, I see my future transitioning from clinical healthcare into position of greater flexibility and growth potential.
