Science in Medicine (Pain Management) Kaye is a highly accomplished businesswoman, and leader in the health sector. She is an endorsed clinical and counselling psychologist, consultant to the insurance and compensation industry, in-demand speaker and trainer and has held national roles in psychology regulation and professional standards. She operated a successful group psychology practice in Williamstown, Victoria for 17 years. Her leadership resume inlcudes establishing the first private psychology practice in the Western District of Victoria in 1989 Deputy Mayor of a country city council, Member of the Clinical Council North Western Melbourne PHN and chair of EAG on mental Health, co-founder of the first Centre against Sexual Assault established outside Melbourne over 30 years ago. She is the ‘go to’ person for her profession, was on the first Psychology Board of Australia and was instrumental in the process of establishing national standards for the psychology profession. In 2022 she was appointed as an Associate Professor of Psychology Deakin University. She is the author of the APS Private Practice Management Standards (2018) and lead author of Fit to Practice (2016) and Creating Impact: the four pillars of private psychology practice (2022). Kaye has written a new unit on Clinical Governance in Clinical Psychology for the Master of Clinical Psychology (post-registration) and is now developing a unit: Feedback Informed Practice which explores deliberate practice as a new pedagogy and supervision model and routine outcome measures with a focus on building a culture that is client centred and the use of client feedback in clinical work. She has significant Board appointments to APAC, the psychology accreditation body and Relationships Australia Victoria since 2016.
