About Kayla Eding

Inventive Masters Level Social Worker, with a degree in Clinical Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy at Western Michigan University, in their Advanced standing LLMSW program. Well-equipped with a comprehensive knowledge of social justice, person-in-environment theory, and childhood trauma intervention, in addition to many other behavioral health theories, interventions, and skills. Passion-driven expertise in diversity on the micro, mezzo, and macro levels and determined to pursue the expansion of diversity and support of marginalized populations in communities and organizations. Exceptional determination to expand the presence of mental health support, diversity, tolerance, and education for Collegiate Athletes experiencing psychological concerns. These goals and aspirations may be seen in the roles I have taken on at the Ottawa Area Center as a Special Education Assistant, a Social Work/Behavioral Health Intern, and community support, project coordinator to unify the Hope College Community during Covid-19.
