Hi, I’m Kayla (or KP). I am passionate about storytelling, content creation, writing, marketing, brand development, and outreach. With a 10-year background in customer service in various sectors, I transitioned to the communications industry. When I discovered that being an effective communicator opens doors, that experience solidified my foundation as a people-person. I seek opportunities that will allow me to grow. I enjoy sharing my knowledge, skills, talents, and expertise, but I make a conscious effort to be in professional settings where I can grow. Throughout my career, I've been proud of how adaptable I am to my work and how passionate I am about what I do. Today, I work as a marketing specialist for a human trafficking education and outreach program, where I am a public speaker, outreach coordinator, trainer, and state representative, raising awareness about a global crime. Did I ever imagine I'd be doing that? Absolutely not. But the testimony is that I never gave up, even when my job search was extremely difficult.
