About Kayla Seto

I am a proactive and flexible engineer with an interest in product and device development. I am a quick learner and integrate well into a team setting. My verbal and written communication skills and acceptance of constructive criticism ensure solid teamwork with co-workers or teammates. I worked as an R&D Product Development Engineer in Tualatin, Oregon. There I found my passion for rapid prototyping, CAD, and product/device development. I received my master’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis in the Biomedical Engineering department. I graduated Cum laude after 5 years at WashU with a M.S. and B.S. in Biomedical Engineering in May 2019. I earned the credits needed to receive my bachelor’s degree also at Wash U in 2018. However, I deferred my bachelor’s degree, so I received it at the same time as my masters. I grew up in the beautiful state of Hawaii to a family of engineers. In high school, I always pictured myself as an engineer. Biomedical engineering helped combine my enthusiasm for improving people's health and my desire to become an engineer. Studying at Wash U has allowed me to pursue my academic and professional interests in the field of biomedical engineering. Besides engineering, my passions include travel and makeup. I can often be found looking for places to travel to and practicing makeup techniques. Available from February 2021.
