As the Director of Special Education at Hope Learning Academy, I am proud to serve a school community deeply committed to providing high-quality, individualized education for students with diverse learning needs. Our mission centers on creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where every student is empowered to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. In my role, I oversee the development and implementation of IEPs, lead a multidisciplinary team of educators and support staff, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations—all while keeping student needs and family collaboration at the heart of every decision. I work to ensure that services are not only legally sound, but meaningful, strengths-based, and rooted in best practice. Hope Learning Academy is a unique setting where students receive therapeutic and academic support tailored to their individual goals. I take pride in leading programs that build confidence, teach life skills, and help students thrive both in and beyond the classroom. My areas of focus include:* Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning and facilitation * Team leadership, coaching, and professional development * Compliance and procedural safeguards * Collaborative relationships with families, staff, and agencies * Program development for students with significant support needs Every day, I am inspired by the resilience of our students and the dedication of the staff who support them.
