About Kaylee McCormick

I am passionate about preventing child abuse, spreading awareness, and empowering families to heal and thrive. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to practicing and advancing innovative, evidence-informed solutions that support at-risk children and caregivers. At Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center, I proudly serve as the first Trauma Training Project Manager, leading the development of a novel, evidence-informed tertiary prevention program for caregivers. This role has strengthened my expertise in curriculum development, program implementation and evaluation, research, training, and project management. As a former Prevention Educator, I contributed to the success of Project Safe & Smart at Mission Kids and across Pennsylvania, mentoring neighboring sites and supporting critical research and training initiatives. My work consistently focuses on scaling impactful programs and creating sustainable pathways to prevention. I enthusiastically share my passion and insights as a national conference speaker, highlighting the power of prevention, the strength of resilience, and the importance of multi-sector collaboration. I am also honored to serve as an affiliate member of NYU’s Safe Futures Lab, supporting universal child abuse prevention research and program development. With a B.A. in Psychology from the University of South Carolina and an M.S. in Counseling and Clinical Health Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, my academic foundation fuels my lifelong commitment to serving at-risk and trauma-impacted families. Every step of my journey has deepened my belief that prevention is possible — and that by empowering caregivers and communities, we can create safer, stronger futures for children.
