About Kaylee Patterson

I am passionate about providing counseling services to children and their families! I studied Counseling Psychology at the University of Colorado Denver, where I chose to center my learning around working with family systems, children and adolescents. I practice from a multicultural, trauma-informed perspective using creative and playful approaches to treatment while combining knowledge and experience in evidenced based practices such at TF-CBT, DBT and ACT. I have pursued extensive training on trauma including: pre-natal and childhood trauma, mass trauma response, the impact of trauma on family systems, first-responder/vicarious trauma, and somatic and mindful approaches to treating trauma. I have sought out training in Play Therapy, Addictions Counseling, and victim advocacy. I also have extensive training and experience working in crisis, suicide prevention, and with domestic violence populations (both survivors and offenders). Outside of "work" I enjoy reading, my Border Collie, and an array of physical activities including: figure skating, hooping, paddle boarding, snowboarding, and yoga. Striving to be present in the moment is what I practice in my personal life and in my work.
