About Kayleigh Beard

I have been with USAA for over 10 years. My job is to help members of USAA ensure they have the best protection possible in the event of something happening. I believe in making sure that everyone is aware of what they have, and what they don’t have, so if a potential claim happens, they are prepared. I am also a front line underwriter. This means that I am responsible for reviewing information to be sure that if I am insisting something, it is appropriate for our guidelines. I am also entrusted with helping others learn and grow in their roles as well through invaluable coaching. I love coaching and training at any opportunity. In previous roles with USAA I got to work with learning and development to train new hires and incumbent employees. In that role, I was a lead facilitator and would walk learners through material to be able to be effective and efficient in their roles. I would approve time entry and coordinate with managers to ensure proper hand off. I have also had the opportunity to work with quality assurance to ensure that guidelines where being followed by internal and third party agents. I am a veteran of the United States Army and a college student. I have a BA in psychology from Penn State University. Currently I am working on a second degree from Kansas State University, though this time it is a BS in applied business and technology. I will graduate in December of this year. While in school, I have worked full time and maintained a 3.8 GPA.
