I am Med-Surg Certified RN with over 11 years of experience in the med-surg setting. I have a BSN degree from WGU and I am a graduate student in the MSN program. Skilled in patient assessment within an acute care setting, critical thinking, communication, clinical documentation using EPIC and Cerner EMR systems. Experienced being in charge of a 43 bed medical unit and leading a team of nurses and axillary staff members in safe, efficient, quality care. Resolving patient and staff issues as they arise during a shift. I am also a trained preceptor and mentor for nursing students, new nurse graduates and experienced nurses. I am seeking a Master's degree in Nursing Education so that I can help provide the next generation of nurses with the knowledge and skills to become excellent nurses that provide patient's with exceptional care.
