About Kaylene Buteau

People who are on the journey of reaching their goals are more open to serendipity than those who are worrying about where life is taking them. Serendipity is the experience of being on a journey to some desired goal and on that journey finding something else of equal or greater value. This statement is why I have the hardest time answering the question: where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years? I'm open to any wellness position that allows me to help people improve their wellness. With a passion for personal health, I understand the connection between healthy habits and energy management, and believe wellness professionals can play an important role in encouraging employees to take action to live longer, healthier and happier lives. I'm a high achieving, forward thinking Wellness Professional with 20 years experience developing, managing, and evaluating health promotion programs for Fortune 500 companies. I have presented at various health and wellness conferences, such as ACSM’s Health & Fitness Summit, and American Journal of Health Promotion (AJHP). I have been a fitness professional for two decades and have acquired 15 certifications in the fitness field. I have taught all types of group exercise classes including Yoga & Pilates. I have also been an avid social dancer for 10 years, teach social dance, and I teach at group exercise and dance conventions. I was involved in a Toastmaster’s club for 5 years and received my ATM Gold. I sincerely believe in visualizing the positive. I'm the kind of person who strikes up a conversation with anyone. Most times, I have terrific conversations and learn new things. I am able to easily connect with my peers and pose the least financial risk to my employer.
