Background

About Kazuma Mitsuda

I am a Data Scientist with a PhD background in astronomy and industry experience across financial services, real estate, public sector, logistics, and space-related projects. My core strength lies in working with noisy, biased, and uncertainty-rich data, and in determining not only how to build models, but also whether their outputs are robust enough for real-world decision-making. In my current role, I lead analytical problem framing, exploratory analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning model design, model review, and stakeholder communication. My work has included credit risk modeling, real estate price modeling, policy analysis, scoring models, and R&D initiatives, where I bridge technical rigor with practical decision support. I am particularly interested in environments where data science is central to business value creation, and where I can continue to deepen expertise in modeling, validation, and decision-focused analytics.
