About Kazuma Moriya

Energy professional with over 11 years of experience in upstream oil & gas and LNG development. Currently based in Tokyo, I contribute strategic investment initiatives at Mitsubishi Corporation, focusing on technical evaluation, commercial analysis, project execution planning, and cross-functional collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. In my current role, I’m involved in identifying and developing new Natural Gas and LNG opportunities, shaping investment strategies, and coordinating closely with relevant departments and external partners. I’ve also contributed cross-functional teams and task forces, and supported project execution through contractor management and on-the-ground operations. I have played key roles in shale gas development projects in Canada and the U.S, as well as offshore initiatives in Angola and the Gulf of Mexico. These hands-on experiences have strengthened my expertise across both technical and commercial domains, and helped build a balanced, execution-oriented approach to complex project delivery.
