About Kearin Green

I am a recent Film Production graduate from University of Portsmouth. I was born and raised in South Africa before moving to the UK when I was 20 to begin my degree. Three years later, I have garnered a portfolio of short films and scripts under my belt and am prepared to get my foot in the door of the UK's Film and Television industry. I am an aspiring screenwriter who recently won the Barbara Machin award for Best Script in a Short Film at my graduation awards and am working on a personal television project that I began at university in my spare time. Apart from scriptwriting, I have written multiple articles on film commentaries, political and opinion pieces, personal essays and local news reporting for my student publication, Spyglass Magazine, and continue publishing my work via my website. I have additional experience as a director and was the writer and director for my graduate film, Punk Mitzvah, which is currently on the film festival circuit. My other passions and expertise lie in my photography work; where I shoot on both digital and 35mm film, and mental health as I pursue this by providing crisis support for hotline Shout. I am currently seeking my first role post-university. I am a hard-working, diligent individual who thrives on creativity, productivity and kindness in the process. I am interested primarily in film and television development, storylining and, my biggest love in life: Scriptwriting. I am interested in opportunities as a production assistant, script reader, office runner, guest writer, journalist and opportunities in broader industries such as mental health, PR, Marketing, Publishing, Communications and Advertising.
