About Keatan Wheeling

I am an Architectural Designer with a multidisciplinary educational background and experience spanning master planning, civil engineering, and architectural design. I began my undergraduate studies at West Virginia University in civil engineering before transferring to Penn State, where I earned an interdisciplinary degree focused on architecture, landscape architecture, and art history. I later completed my Master of Architecture at the Boston Architectural College.I bring 1.5 years of experience in master planning and civil engineering and am currently working at an architectural firm where I enjoy contributing to residential projects alongside a wide range of designs. My skill set includes communication between clients, consultants, and builders, creating permit and construction documents, producing 3D models and renderings, and scanning existing buildings. I also stay actively engaged in the profession by attending conferences and industry events focused on education, innovation, and community. My approach to design is influenced by global travel, with experiences throughout Peru, Cuba, London, Paris, Cambridge, Amsterdam, Dubai, Qatar, parts of Canada, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. Exposure to diverse cultures, climates, and urban environments has shaped how I think about space, materiality, and human experience. As a former collegiate athlete, I have a strong interest in wellness-driven and performance-focused design. This perspective informs my work by emphasizing spaces that support both physical and mental well-being.I am currently on the path to becoming a licensed architect and enjoy collaborating with other professionals, exchanging ideas, and pursuing opportunities that continue to challenge and inspire me.
