About Keegan Roberts

My name is Keegan Roberts, I am enrolled at the College of the North Atlantic pursuing a diploma in Computer Systems and Networking, where I am learning the fundamentals of network administration, scripting, and computer hardware. What persuaded me to pursue a degree in this field was my immense interest in computers, how their components work together, and how they operate to perform the tasks we direct them to do! One key aspect I am especially perceptive about is the hardware section of Computer Systems and Networking. Something is very rewarding about the hands-on experience and knowing exactly how to set up your device effectively, and properly. I believe that the skills I acquire from Computer Systems and Networking will not only help me in my professional career, but my personal life as well due to the continuous growth of device use in everyday life! Recently I completed a full gaming PC build for my friend, I put it together with the parts he ordered to ensure it was assembled correctly, As I have a strong understanding of how each component should be properly installed, I was able to complete this build in under an hour. This project enabled me to strengthen my understanding of assembling a computer, component compatibility, and efficient hardware configuration. I am seeking internship opportunities that allow me to use my hands-on experience to provide help to those who need assistance with their devices, or those who do not have a good understanding of tech hardware.
