About Keegan Whitla

I'm a hybrid builder: part product strategist, part technical architect, part creative storyteller. For over a decade at IBM, I’ve helped shape and scale digital experiences across IBM.com — leading product strategy, technical delivery, and platform modernization with a focus on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).Today, I help run a global development team of 50+ engineers, QA, DevOps, and designers — delivering enterprise-grade features and enhancements that power one of the most visited B2B websites in the world. My sweet spot is where complexity meets clarity: aligning architects, developers, and business leaders around a shared vision — and then getting it shipped.Beyond IBM, I run a side business called Keegan’s Caramels, blending culinary creativity, digital marketing, and community impact. I also design board games, write sci-fi novels, and build AI tools — always chasing the overlap between systems thinking and human storytelling. If it's big, messy, cross-disciplinary, and ambitious — I'm in.Core Focus Areas- Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) strategy & architecture- Agentic AI implementation (WatsonX, metadata automation)- Scalable UX & IA systems- Cross-functional platform delivery- Team leadership & mentorship- Enterprise content & component governance- Side projects with purpose (caramels, games, fiction, and tools)
