About Keeley Waters

I am incredibly passionate about literacy, both in myself and others. My love of reading has largely shaped who I am today, and I strive to instill that love in others. I enjoy patron interaction and love programming as well as outreach. It is my desire that everyone in my community sees the library as a priceless asset- a place to socialize, to learn, and to improve themselves. To achieve this, I spent a few years leading the Summer Learning Committee and currently run a Juvenile Detention Center Book Discussion. I have also co-founded a successful book club called "Stout Stories." Stout Stories has been running once a month for almost six years now, averaging 12-20 attendees. We meet at rotating breweries and wineries around my county, promoting local business and forging positive relationships with libraries. Along with these accomplishments, I sit on JCPL's E.D.I. committee and have appeared at the ILF Youth Services conference as well as sitting on a roundtable to discuss our work.
