About Keena Preston

As a Master of Public Administration student at Roosevelt University, I am passionate about non-profit, public, and organizational management, and how to apply data analysis and policy work to improve social outcomes. I currently work as an Alumni Success Coach at Noble Street Charter Schools, where I advise and support alumni of the Noble Network of Charter Schools to increase retention and persistence rates in higher education and beyond. In my previous role as a College Success Advisor at Bottom Line, I provided direct support to 87 college students in the Chicago area, resulting in academic and professional success. I collaborated with faculty members at different colleges to help engage students and learn of resources to assist those with specific needs. I also navigated through Power BI and Salesforce to analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement in processes and adapt as needed. I am motivated by the mission of empowering students from low-income backgrounds and first-generation college students to achieve their goals and aspirations. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as a McNair Scholar, a community health and preventive medicine graduate, and an avid volunteer and event planner.
