About Keerti Pendyal

With a PhD in Public Policy and Management from IIM Calcutta and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, I bring a unique combination of in-depth expertise in Economics, honed through rigorous research, and the practical managerial acumen required to address the strategic and operational needs of organizations. As an Assistant Professor of Economics at Mahindra University, my research focuses on industrial organization (as an extension of my thesis that is at the intersection of IP and anti-trust policy) and institutional economics. I use both qualitative and quantitative research methods with expertise in Stata & R, and work with cross-sectional & time series data as well as textual data in my research. My teaching portfolio highlights my research focus through courses I have taught, such as Advanced Microeconomics, Game Theory, and Institutional Economics. I have extensive experience teaching diverse audiences across various levels, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as executive and leadership professionals. Leveraging my IRM certification, I've crafted a niche in enterprise risk management, ensuring that the insights I share are grounded in the latest industry practices. This experience has equipped me to empower students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the dynamic landscape of business and policy. In addition to my research and teaching expertise, I was the Assistant Dean of Outreach & Promotion at Jindal School of Banking & Finance (O.P. Jindal Global University). I was in charge of student recruitment at the school ensuring intake of high caliber students to the school's programmes. I also have experience in curriculum development as the Programme Coordinator for the B.A.(Hons.) in Finance & Economics. Co-founded a startup in the Education Services with two of India's largest B-Schools as our client in the first year (FMS New Delhi and SIBM Bangalore). We helped B-Schools with placement prep as well as conducted training sessions for students on behalf of companies like TestFunda along with providing consulting services to educational institutions.
